Funding RequestsFiscal Year Program Planning Schedule February/March: MBIC Board and staff review producer attitude survey and begin critical thinking process concerning current FY programs, discussing what works and what doesn't. May: Board sets program priorities and begins to formulate budget plans. Staff sends out requests for proposals based on program priorities. June 15: All proposals due. June/July: Staff receives proposals and begins initial screening for applicability to Act and Order and MBIC Board's program priorities. Staff presents program plans, and/or proposals to Board for consideration and approval. Vendors with large program proposals present to Board for consideration and approval. Staff and Board consider overall budget and how each program/activity fits. September: Staff prepares final budget and program plan for board approval, and for submission to Cattlemen's Beef Board compliance officer. October: Staff begins to implement new FY program plan. The Missouri Beef Industry Council is currently accepting proposals that will provide a platform to engage consumers about the health benefits of beef for our Fiscal Year 2014 (Fiscal Year is Oct 1, 013 through Sept 30, 2014).
