Committed to SafetyAmerica's food supply is the safest in the world, and Missouri's cattle producers, as well as producers all around the United States, are committed to continuing to produce a safe and wholesome food. The cattle industry's Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) program works with producers in all 50 states about cattle handling, feed purchasing, record keeping, testing, and other procedures to produce beef without residues of animal health products or pesticides. In fact, BQA safety requirements exceed standards established by the federal government. In addition, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) examines every beef carcass before it can be sold to consumers, and each year, more than 2 million analyzes of meat and poultry samples are performed. All these efforts are part of the beef industry's continuing efforts to take an excellent food safety record and make it even better! More information is provided here:
